Butterfly 5K Walk, Run, or Flutter
The Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare Foundation is excited to launch the Butterfly 5K in support of HDGH’s Regional Children’s Centre. This 5-kilometer trek will be completed at Malden Park featuring beautiful natural paths that meander through paved and wood chipped trails. The event is open to all age groups and takes place on Saturday, September 17, commencing at 9:00 a.m.
This year the event will support the Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder program at HDGH. This program delivers family-centered service to children and youth with FASD and/or suspected FASD and their families within Windsor-Essex County.
Butterflies represent transformation, creativity, endless potential, vibrant joy, and an ability to experience the wonder of life. For these reasons, we chose to use the butterfly as a symbol for this fundraiser. The proceeds from this event will make a difference in a very fundamental way. Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder is a lifelong, neurodevelopmental disorder that affects the brain and body of people who were exposed to alcohol in the womb. A child with FASD experiences a spectrum of disabilities and will
require support throughout his/her life.
Tickets are $60 to register which will include an event t-shirt and a medal at the end of your race. For more details on this fundraiser and sponsorship opportunities, please review our sponsorship package.

Wish to make a greater impact on the FASD program, collect pledges, and be entered into a draw for some great prizes.
We hope you will join us on the trails.
With appreciation,
