Reporting to the Program Manager, the Psychometrist is responsible for patient assessment under the direct supervision of a Registered Psychologist. The Psychometrist provides support to a range of inpatient and outpatient programs including, Complex Medical Care, ABI and In-Patient Rehab. The Psychometrist is also responsible for participation in departmental, program and organizational-wide professional activities supportive of direct patient services. The Psychometrist is responsible for delivery of care consistent with the vision and values of Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare and the standards of relevant professional organizations.
QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION
· Honors B.A in Psychology –required
· Administer and scores psychological tests under the direction of a registered psychologist
· Perform behavioural-based clinical interventions under the supervision of the psychologist
· Ability to work in a collaborative team approach and to adhere to accepted standards of personal conduct
· Manage and maintain clinical and test files
· Provide clinical service coordination (case management) as assigned
· Valid Ontario Driver’s License with the use of a car and insurance in accordance with Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare policy
· Commitment to maintaining / enhancing professional competence through participation in appropriate continuing education activities
· Demonstrate a commitment to participate in Quality Improvement Initiatives/Programs
· Demonstrated team leadership and facilitation skills
· Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team approach and to adhere to accepted standards of personal conduct
· Demonstrated evidence of high standards in all aspects of communication
· Demonstrated commitment to maintaining / enhancing professional competence through participation in appropriate continuing education activities
· Strong organizational skills
· General good health and a level of fitness appropriate for the demands of the position
· Demonstrates a commitment to participate in Quality Improvement Initiatives/Programs
· Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and ability to work as a member of an integrated healthcare team
· Excellent communication skills with the command of the French language considered an asset.
